The Oguaa Hall Muslim council

The Oguaa Hall Muslim Council is one of the four (4) wings in the Premier Hall, as mother Oguaa and for that matter UCC, recognizes and gives freedom of worship to the various religious faiths in Ghana. As a council we obviously perform certain duties and activities, and below are the duties the Muslim council perform.

The Muslim Council serves as a medium for Muslim students to be able to fulfill their mandatory religious obligations and strike a balance between their religious and academic life, thereby facilitating daily prayers, Lecture sections and other religious and academic activities.

We act as an advocacy group for Muslims in the hall, effectively addressing and solving issues within the hall that pertain to student life like academic issues in the classroom, campus wide problems, etc.

The Muslim council president, forming part of the JCRC exectives helps the JCRC in running its activities such as, helping to welcome fresh Oguaa Hall affiliates, helping to orient new affiliates, as well as help in making healthy decisions that will positively affect the normal Oguaa haller through JCRC executive meetings.

We also have activities which include;

Door-to-door Da'wa, where we visit the non Muslim affiliates to educate them about Islam.

Hold Islamic Talk shows which is not necessarily for only the Muslim caucus and The Islamic Hour Program during Hall Week celebrations Where we invite Islamic scholars to come deliver.

Currently our place of prayer is between block D and block C .And our council room is G9 for the males and B30 for the females.
