Eight inter-varsity graduates who were working overseas, four from Africa, initiated the inter-varsity overseas fellowship. They aimed to create awareness among students in the fellowship and also create opportunities for Christian service through circular employment overseas.

The Muslim Council serves as a medium for Muslim students to be able to fulfill their mandatory religious obligations and strike a balance between their religious and academic life, thereby facilitating daily prayers, Lecture sections and other religious and academic activities.
